Jeffrey Brian Nelson

Jeffrey Brian Nelson passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022. Despite ongoing health issues relating to diabetes, he died unexpectedly. He is survived by his parents Don & Nancy Nelson of Tulsa, OK, his sisters, Christine Nelson of Morristown, NJ, and Susan Studebaker of Tulsa, OK, his brother-in-law, John Studebaker, and his beloved niece and nephews, Olivia, Joseph, and Ian Studebaker, as well as many extended family and friends.

Jeff was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and Drake University. He went to the Junior Olympics in swimming, contributed to Street Paintings for the Drake Relays, and never let a pick-up game of basketball pass him by. Jeff was an avid reader of all genres but mostly fantasy and science fiction. His childhood love of comic books matured into a love of Manga and Anime. Jeff was a fantastic artist and short story writer. His homemade Christmas cards were clever, funny, and heartfelt. His musical and movie tastes were very diverse and he was always eager to engage in conversation on a broad range of topics.

A celebration of life is scheduled at Schaudt's Funeral Home on Sunday, December 18th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the tulsalibrarytrust.org or your favorite charity.
