Janie Faye Nickles

Janie Faye Nickles, age 75, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 30, 1948, in Cushing, Oklahoma, to Cleo "Hutch" Hutchison and Cora "Corky" Hutchison. Janie attended OSU where she met & then married the love of her life, James Nickles, on August 3, 1968, in Drumright, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories.

Janie was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud Mimi. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs above her own. Janie's warm and nurturing spirit created a loving home where her children and grandchildren flourished. She possessed a kind heart, an infectious smile, and a compassionate nature that touched the lives of all who knew her.

In addition to her dedication to her family, Janie also had a deep love and respect for all four-legged animals and spent over twenty years working as the office manager for Veterinary & Associates, where she contributed to the well-being of countless furry friends. Janie's legacy of compassion extends beyond her human family and friends, as her kindness and empathy touched the lives of the animals she cared for and those who shared her passion for animal welfare. Her memory will forever be cherished by both two-legged and four-legged friends alike.

Janie was preceded in death by her mother, Corky Hutchison, her father, Hutch Hutchison, and her beloved husband, James Nickles. While she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

Janie is survived by her son, Jimmy Nickles, and wife Michelle; two daughters, Denae Avlos and husband Heath, and Lindsey Landrum and husband Cristan; two grandsons, Austin Nickles and Hutch Landrum; three granddaughters, Cora Avlos, Emma Claire Avlos, and Edyn Landrum, as well as many other loving relatives and a host of friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering support.

The funeral services for Janie have been entrusted to Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service, 5757 S. Memorial Dr. Tulsa, OK 74145.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 24, 2023, at St. Pius Church, 1727 S 75th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74112 with Fr. Mike Knipe & Fr. Matt Gerlach officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
