Janet Lee Wayne, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 8, 1950, in Tulsa, to proud parents Wilbur and Elizabeth Spencer who instilled in her the values of love, compassion, and hard work.
Janet leaves behind her devoted husband, Mark Wayne, who stood by her side through life's journey. Together, they built a beautiful family filled with love and laughter. She is survived by her children: Tammy Chambers (Steve), Doug McCann (Kellie), and Melinda Kayser (Michael), who carry on her legacy of kindness and generosity.
Janet was adored by her grandchildren: Orie Chambers (Kati), Samantha Ramsey (Jerod), Mackenzie Parker (Andrew), Ryan McCann, Matthew Kayser, and McKinly Kayser. Additionally, she was blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Hudson, Isabella, Millie, Lynnlie, Gibson, Stetson, Wyatt, Wade, Walker, and Torrey, who brought immense joy to her life.
A sister, Janet will be deeply missed by her brother, John Anderson, and his wife, Judy Quirk. She was preceded in death by her identical twin sister, Janice Hensley, as well as her parents and siblings: Bob, Frank, and Jeannie.
Janet was a woman of many passions and interests. She found solace and joy in crafting, quilting, sewing, fishing, camping, and cooking. Her love for bluegrass music, traveling, and attending the theatre enriched her life and brought her closer to her family and friends.
A devoted member of her community and church, Janet was known for her nurturing spirit and her unwavering commitment to her loved ones. She was always there to lend an ear, provide a comforting embrace, or cook a delicious meal for her family. Her easy-going nature and genuine kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Janet's dedication to her family was unparalleled. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and never missed an opportunity to support them. Whether it was attending her grandchildren's events or cooking dinner for her family each night, Janet's love knew no bounds.
Her legacy of love, compassion, and service will forever live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Janet's presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know her.
