James Price, 78, beloved father, spouse, son, uncle, and friend, was called to his eternal resting place on June 9, 2026. He was born on December 24, 1947, in Evansville, Indiana, to James and Fern Price, who preceded him in death.
James lived a life marked by resilience, kindness, faith, and devotion to those he loved. In his younger years, he proudly served as an Airman in the United States Air Force for several years, demonstrating the sense of duty and commitment that would characterize his life. He later built a successful career as an IT Engineer with Williams Company in Tulsa, where he worked faithfully until 2008. Following a leukemia diagnosis, he took early retirement and faced his health challenges with remarkable courage and determination. Throughout the years, James achieved remission four times, inspiring family and friends with his strength, optimism, and perseverance.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, James embraced life with enthusiasm and adventure. He enjoyed riding his BMW motorcycle, driving his sports cars, and creating memories on the open road. His faith was an important part of his life, and as an ordained minister, he had the privilege of officiating marriage ceremonies for many family members and longtime friends. Being able to share in such meaningful moments brought him great joy and reflected his caring and generous spirit.
James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dana Price; his parents, James and Fern Price; his sister-in-law, Barbara Cline Johns; his nephew, Danny Cline, and Danny's wife, Patty; and his brother-in-law, Wayne Newport.
He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his son, Jason Price and wife Kim; cousins Cheryl Taylor, Bobbi Girot, and John Girot, all of Illinois; sister-in-law Sandra Newport; nieces Renee' Redmond, Stacey Smith, Christy Beal, and Lori Wise and husband Bill; nephew George Sparks and wife Helen; brothers-in-law Brad McKay and Kevin Wentworth; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and faith.
James will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his gentle heart, his enduring faith, and his ability to find joy even in life's most difficult moments. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, courage, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
May he rest in eternal peace.
