James "Jim" Patrick Blouch
May 5, 1952 - September 9, 2025

James "Jim" Patrick Blouch, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and community leader, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the age of 73.

Born on May 5, 1952, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to Cyril G. and Mary Ann (Quarry) Blouch Jim grew up with a big heart, a welcoming smile, and a spirit that never knew a stranger. Anyone who met him quickly felt like a friend.

Jim dedicated 25 years of his career to American Airlines, where he served as a Material Logistics Specialist before retiring in 2012. A proud member of the Transport Workers Union (TWU) Local 514, he was a tireless advocate for working families and the labor movement. His leadership extended to the Oklahoma Northeastern Labor Council, where he worked to strengthen community ties, and to public service as chairman of the Rogers County Election Board, a role he faithfully held for more than 20 years. A lifelong supporter of the Democratic Party, Jim believed deeply in civic duty and the power of community engagement.

Beyond his career and service, Jim's joy was rooted in the people he loved. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Sandra Gail Blouch and a proud father to his three children: Angela "Angie" Blouch, Jayson Blouch, and Jeffery "Jeff" Blouch. Nothing brought him greater pride than being "Papa" to his granddaughters, Kaleigh and Kourtney, who he affectionately called "Papa's Girls." He found endless comfort and companionship in his beloved dog, Sadie, who rarely left his side.

Jim's warm, outgoing spirit made him a natural connector of people. He never met a stranger he didn't like, and his laughter and stories could brighten any room. An avid sports enthusiast, Jim cheered passionately for the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Dallas Cowboys. His love of the game also inspired him to coach little league football, basketball, and cheer teams for many years, encouraging and mentoring young athletes with enthusiasm and care. When he wasn't at the ball field, Jim often found peace on the water, fishing and enjoying the quiet moments of life.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Mary Ann; his brother, David Blouch; his sister, Janice Morgan; his mother- and father-in-law, Rufus F. and Myrtle A. Melton; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; countless beloved pets; and dear friends who went before him.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Sandra Gail; his children, Angela "Angie," Jayson, and Jeff; his granddaughters, Kaleigh and Kourtney; and his faithful dog, Sadie. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of kindness, service, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel, 5757 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma, with Jason Cowan officiating.
