James Arthur "Jim" Morgan Jr. of McAlester, OK, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, at the age of 72. He was born November 6th, 1949, in Los Angeles, CA, the son of the late James Arthur Morgan Sr; and Mary Joanna Brunty (MacDuff). He grew up with his brothers in Henderson, NV, and was a graduate of Basic High School, class of 1968. He proudly enlisted and served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved being in the military and reenlisted in the early 1990s.

An accomplished bowler, he participated in many tournaments and won trophies over the years. Music was his passion, whether listening to jazz or singing in the car (and at karaoke). He enjoyed being on the open road and previously drove for a living. He loved being a school bus driver. He also loved good food, football (especially the LA Rams), and his dogs.

He was a wonderful and kind man and will be missed by his daughter, Jennifer Morgan, and her wife, Kate of Phoenix, AZ. He is survived by a large extended family, including son Ron Westrup of Las Vegas, NV; his sister Toni Buchanan of Redding, CA; brothers John Brunty of Portland, OR; Tim Brunty and his wife Debbie of Las Vegas, NV and Ray Brunty of Las Vegas, NV; and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his many friends and the community he belonged to in McAlester, including his companion Judy and sister-in-law Gloria.

A memorial service will be held in Las Vegas at a future date. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
