Jackie Oakley

September 29, 1953 — October 28, 2025

Jackie Oakley Obituary Jackie Bershele (Worth) Oakley was born September 29th, 1953, in El Paso, Texas. She passed away Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, in Broken Arrow, OK. She passed, at the age of 72, in her home, of natural causes. She is survived by her brother Michael; children Keith and Brandi; daughter-in-law Tammy; son-in-law Andy; grandchildren Jenni, Justin, Kyle & Mylah; great-grandson Leo; and pets Joey, Bruno, Annie, and Bunny. Her final wishes were to be cremated and buried with her late husband James Oakley's ashes at Floral Haven in Tulsa, OK. She also wished that some of her ashes be scattered over some of the places she used to find joy, such as the lakes she used to fish in, or beaches that she used to tan on.

Her parents were Mother Shirley Anne Worth of TX and Adoptive Father J C Worth of OK. She attended Justice-Tawiah Elementary and Middle School; later graduating from Claremore High School, class of 1971. She enjoyed participating in school sports such as basketball and volleyball. She also enjoyed horseback riding in her younger years.

Jackie worked most of her life, beginning at an early age at Warehouse Market in Claremore, OK in the meat market and grocery in general. She went on to fill many other roles in the retail industry throughout the years in various positions in management and sales, with the final 20+ years of employment as a manufacturer's commodities representative at Advantage Marketing and Sales.

Jackie loved the outdoors and enjoyed the time together "growing up" at Grand Lake in NE OK with her family, an avid fisherwoman, always passionate about sports and competition in general. OSU being her all-time favorite in football. She also enjoyed tennis, golf, car racing (NASCAR/Indy) and basketball. Her time with James Oakley and being involved in the game of golf was a very happy time for several years later in life.

She loved being with her family for Sunday dinners, yard work/gardening, concerts (anything relating to music), or just sitting and talking watching TV shows or sports. Her number one hobby was shopping. Her shoe collection rivals Michael Jacksons'; she was always on the lookout for a good deal (she was going to buy it either way). She was an avid Beatles lover since the 60's. She spent many hours listening to and singing all of their discography. While also making sure that her granddaughter was caught up on all of The Beatles history. Her home was covered in The Beatles and various sports memorabilia. She loved anything with bright colors; her favorite was bright orange. The light of her life was her animals, specifically her dog Joey. He was her little buddy; they shared everything from pillows to snacks. She will be remembered with bright colors and music. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
