Irwin Woodbury Cale

Irwin Woodbury Cale age 77 went to be with his Lord May 3, 2005 at Saint Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Irwin was born June 29, 1927 in Hamilton, Illinois to Gladstone Hume Cale, Sr. and Elizabeth Chapin Cale. He graduated from high school; joined the United States Navy and served in World War II where he was stationed in the Philippines as a radio operator and cook. Mr. Cale moved to Oklahoma from Illinois in 1968. On December 4, 1976 he married the love of his life Alice Ballenger Cale in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Cale was a printer and retired from Ross Martin Printing Company. In Mr. Cale's spare time he enjoyed being with his family, playing the organ and spending time with his devoted dogs, Boomer and Bridget.
Mr. Cale was preceded in death by his parents: Gladstone and Elizabeth Cale; his two brothers: Gladstone Hume Cale, Jr., Frederick Cale; his sister: Alice E. Boyd; and his son: Phillip Cale.
He is survived by his loving wife: Alice Cale, Tulsa, Oklahoma; sons: Richard Cale, Round Mount, Nevada, David Hamlin, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Donnie Hamlin and his wife, Daphne of Caddo Mills, Texas; daughters: Debra Stephenson and Walter Stephenson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Teresa Moore, Tulsa, Oklahoma . Mr. Cale was the proud grandpa to Jeremy Schwartzkopf, Derek Schwartzkopf, Joey Hamlin and Sandy Hamlin, as well as great-grandpa to Jacob Schwartzkopf. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 7th at 10:00 a.m. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel. Committal with be at Calvary Cemetery immediately following the service.
