George Thomas O'Neal Jr.

August 2, 1931 — December 23, 2004

George Thomas O'Neal, Jr. age 73 passed away Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Grace Living Center, Jenks, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family members.
Mr. O'Neal was born in Hugo, Oklahoma, to George Thomas O'Neal, Sr. and Effie Jewel Elkins on August 2, 1931. He graduated from Hugo schools and attended Harding University, Searcy, Arkansas, and Oklahoma Christian University, Edmond, Oklahoma. Mr. O'Neal joined the United States Air Force February 24, 1951, and was stationed in Laredo. He met the love of his life, Rosalie Stills, and they were married August 20, 1957, in Harrison, Arkansas. He has resided in the Tulsa area for 24 years.
Mr. O'Neal was a retired, self-employed salesman and was an avid OU football fan. He enjoyed playing dominos, was a Kiwanis Club member and attended 29th & Yale Church of Christ for the past ten years.
Mr. O'Neal was preceded in death by both parents: George Thomas O'Neal, Sr. and Effie Elkins O'Neal along with five sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife: Rosalie O'Neal of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and his brother: Bill O'Neal of Paris, Texas; three daughters: Toni O'Neal of Tulsa; Tami Exendine and her husband, Tim, of Sapulpa; Julie Minnick and her husband, Bryan, of San Antonio, Texas; two sons: Butch O'Neal and his wife, Micki, of Glenpool; Mike O'Neal and his wife, Susie, of Sapulpa. Mr. O'Neal is survived by the following grandchildren: Dana Des Jardins of Murfreesboro, TN; Jacqueline Morris, Rebekkah Morris both of Broken Arrow; Matthew Lamb, Zachary Lamb, and Lara Lamb of Houston, TX; Taylor O'Neal, of Sand Springs; Danielle Davidson of Sapulpa; Chris O'Neal and Rachel Minnick of San Antonio, TX; and two great grandsons, Zander Des Jardins, and John Griffith.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at 29th & Yale Church of Christ, Tulsa, Oklahoma, with Mr. Greg Clark officiating. Committal with be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hugo, Oklahoma, immediately following the funeral service.
