Gary Ruble

March 23, 1964 — October 11, 2023

Gary Ruble was born on March 23, 1964, in Tulsa Oklahoma to Charles Smith Ruble, Sr and Mary L. Carter Ruble. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.

He was a very hard worker and always put his family first. A lot of people knew him by “Cheese” which fit him well because he loved to smile and make people laugh. He enjoyed old school music especially Zapp & Rogers, one of his favorites songs was “Mr. Groove”. He loved helping people anyway he could and wore several hats. He was our therapist, mechanic, plumber, electrician, landscaper, veterinarian etc., there was nothing he wouldn’t do to help those he loved.

He was a good father to his children and because he had such a loving personality, he had several people in his community that he took underneath his wing as sons and daughters, and he loved them as his own. If you knew him then you experienced love, laughter, long conversations and probably took him to get a pack of cigarettes. Gary was one of a kind and will be truly missed.

Gary is preceded in death by his father and mother Charles S. Ruble, Sr, and Mary L. Carter; siblings Larry Carter, Lucinda Ruble, Charles S. Ruble Jr, Joe Ruble, Sandra K. Lewis and Shelia Ruble-Alston; son Keandra G. Ruble.

The memories of life will continue with his wife Patricia Ruble; daughters Tasha (Basil) Campbell, Kristy Ruble, Kendra Ruble; grandchildren Xavier Ruble, Mariah Washington, Kamondre Ruble, Asiayah Washington and Ava Sulaimon; brothers Leroy Smith, Michael (Lynn) Ruble, Robert (Joyce) Ruble, Jerry (DeQuencia) Ruble, David (Nerissa) Ruble, Derall (Neisha) Ruble; sisters Mary Ruble-Overton, Linda Riley, Carolyn Ruble, Lashon Ruble, Yolonda Love-Barnes and Katana Ruble; mother in law Alice Everidge; sister in law; Mary Leroy; brothers in law; Lloyd Nolan, Donald Nolan and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
