Garey Leo Curtsinger born March 12th, 1949 also known as G.L. or to his close friends "Blue" passed away at his home in Okemah on Wednesday June 10th 2026 at the age of 77.
Garey was born to Walter Leo Curtsinger and Pauline Kimberlin Curtsinger in Pasadena Texas. He was the oldest of four children. Garey parents and siblings have all preceded him in death. Garey was married three times. First to wife Sharon who he shares a son Chad with, later he was married to Pam who passed away. His third and last marriage was to Debbie who brought with her daughter Jennifer and from the union came daughter Kimberlee.
Survivors include wife Debbie of the home. Son Chad Curtsinger and wife Kellie. Daughters Jennifer Robison and husband Joe and Kimberlee Blackwood and husband Mike. Grandchildren Olivia and Jaxson Curtsinger, Harley Robison, Haylee Severs and husband Cameron, Ariel Martinez and husband Edwin, and Lane Blackwood; with two great grandchildren on the way.
Garey worked at the sewing factory, Gibson discount, but mostly at Mobil Chemical where he retired from. Garey loved the outdoors and his horses he could spend all day outside with them. Music was another of his favorites; he could tell you who sang a song as well as who wrote it. Garey was quick witted and could come up with a joke on the spur of the moment.
Garey lived a full life and will be greatly missed by all but as one of his favorite sayings goes "Some people leave footprints in the sand. Cowboys leave trails that last forever"
