Ray (Bobbo) passed away Monday October 13,2025 at home surrounded by his family at the age of 70 years old.
Ray was born to Henry L. Harjo and Christine E.(Berryhill) Harjo on June 16, 1955 in Oklahoma City. He was baptized at Crestview Baptist Church at a young age. He recently rededicated his life to the Lord. He attended and graduated from Carl Albert high school in Midwest city where he played baseball, football, and wrestled. He then went to college at OCU on a baseball scholarship.
Ray was an avid sports fan, and OU was his team. He loved fishing, telling corny jokes, and spending time with family, most of all his grandchildren. They were his heart, and he is theirs. He was the grill master for all the summer cookouts. He held down many jobs in the past. He has been employed at One Fire Casino for the past 25yrs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Geneva B. Harjo and brother Henry Harjo.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Chalakee of the home, son Rayne Harjo, daughters Shawn Tyndall, Carrie Tyndall all of Okmulgee, and Rachel Harjo. Grandchildren #1 grandson Eric Shields Jr. of New Mexico, Kaylah Sheilds of New Mexico, Alicia Hernandez ,Lovella Harjo, Chalina Tyndall, Meske Ray Tyndall all of Okmulgee. Ray is also survived by Leyloni Harjo and his siblings Margret Corbin of Oklahoma City, Cindy Harjo of Okmulgee, Adam Harjo of Henryetta, David Harjo and wife Valarie of Hawaii. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
