Faye Marie Conner

Aug 9, 1935 — Jul 27, 2026

Faye Marie Conner gracefully transitioned to her eternal rest at the remarkable age of 90, surrounded by the love of family in the comfort of her own home on Monday, July 27, 2026.

Faye was born in London, Arkansas, in 1935 to George Washington Shepard and Flora (Greer) Shepard. She later made her way to Oildale, California, where she met and married the one and only companion of her life, James Ralph Conner. Together they welcomed one son, Dale Ralph Conner.

In earlier years, she enjoyed working at Randy's, always eager to share stories with everyone about how much she loved making onion rings. She later transitioned that same warmth and dedication into a meaningful career at Highland Park Nursing Home, where she was known for her exceptional work ethic and faithfully served the residents with deep compassion until her retirement. Throughout her years, Faye found immense joy in cooking for her beloved son and his circle of friends. As a devoted caregiver, she treasured time with her faithful dog, Duke, and is fondly remembered for bicycle rides with her granddaughter, Megan, riding on the back. Her consistent daily cycling and walking routine was the cornerstone of her strength, which contributed significantly to her exceptional longevity.

She will always be remembered for her hardworking spirit, devotion to her family, independence, and kindness. Her life reflected perseverance, love, and joy always. She is deeply missed by all who knew her.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents, George and Flora Shepard; all of her siblings, Linden, Jay, Wonda, Martha, Matt, Thomas, twin sister Foy May, and partner James Ralph Conner.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted family, including her beloved son Dale, who did nothing wrong in her eyes. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Megan, CyMiyah, Charlie, Michael, Jessica (Andre Poole), and Lanaya, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Pallbearers: John Bowen, George "Chitto" Johnson, Tony Wilson, Clay Lee, Aaron Pettit, Steve Cox. Honorary Pallbearers: Ronald Spears, Doug Powell, Thomas Rippy, Lawrence Kahbeah Jr, and Nolan Grayson.
