In Loving Memory: Fannie M. Campbell Johnson November 7, 1949 - August 10, 2023

Fannie M. Campbell Johnson, a radiant presence in the lives of many, gracefully passed away on August 10, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 73. Born on November 7, 1949, in Scooba, Mississippi, to Edward and Pearl Campbell, Fannie's journey was one of devotion, service, and boundless faith.

Fannie's life was a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and profound moments. She embarked on her educational journey at Spencer High School in Kemper County, Scooba, Mississippi, where she graduated with honors in May 1968. Following her graduation, she ventured to Indianapolis, Indiana, to be with her brothers and sisters. Later, in June of 1991, she brought her love and strength to Tulsa, Oklahoma, with her four sons, Derrick, Deondre, James, and Cameron. In 1996, she united in marriage with Emerson Johnson III.

Fannie's spirit was deeply rooted in her faith community. She was a cherished member of both Victory Christian Center and Westside United Methodist Church. Her unwavering devotion to her faith was evident through her weekly home bible studies and prayer sessions. Fannie's compassionate heart extended to community outreach on Westside Tulsa, where she tirelessly worked to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Armed with a thirst for knowledge and a passion for helping others, Fannie earned her undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts in Administration Leadership from Oklahoma University. Her commitment to service led her to dedicate over two decades of her life to supporting special needs children at both Tulsa Public Schools and Fort Worth ISD. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the impact she made.

Fannie's hobbies were a reflection of her heart's passions. She found solace in writing and in delving into the teachings of God's word. The scriptures held deep meaning for her, and some of her favorite passages, including Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 8:28, and Psalm 91, guided her through life's journey.

Fannie is survived by her beloved siblings: Millard Campbell, Shirley Irby, Alberta Campbell, Joseph (Anniepearl) Campbell, and Nelva Faye Campbell.

She is also survived by her children: Derrick Turentine, James Turentine, Cameron Turentine, Shoneia Morris-Boler, and Terry Boler.
