Ernest Cleveland Johnson

Ernest Cleveland Johnson IV, 47, of Broken Arrow , passed away December 31 after a battle with cancer.


Ernie was born on December 19, 1975 to Ernest Johnson III and Donna Knuckles in Houston, MO. Ernie graduated from Dixon High School, Dixon,MO in 1994. Ernie went to University of Missouri-Rolla to study Electrical Engineering. He later went on to get his Masters in Environmental management. He worked in the Oil and Gas Industry in Texas, Utah and Oklahoma. His most recent employment was the Director of Risk and Engineering services for Whiptail Midstream.


In 1994 Ernie met Sonja in high school and married in 1995 the week before Sonja graduated. Ernie and Sonja went on to have three amazing daughters, Audrey, Meagan and Nora.


Ernie enjoyed spending time with his family, raising bees and brewing beer. He also loved hunting and even led hunts in Texas for a short time. Ernie loved to joke around and have a good time. He had a heart of Gold and loved his family more than anything. He worked so hard to provide for his family.


Ernie was preceded in death by Grandmother Dorothy Knuckles, Grandmother Ethel Johnson, Grandfather Ernest Johnson II, Father in law Brian Hill. As well as Aunts and Uncles. He is survived by his wife, Sonja Johnson, children Audrey (Ryan) Relitz, Meagan (Cesar) Cardenas, and Nora. Grandson Ryker, Grandfather George Knuckles, Father Ernest (Sherry) Johnson, Mother Donna Knuckles, Mother in law Doris Hill, Sisters Jennifer (Steve), Angel (Austin) and Alison (Todd), Brother Eric (Christy) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. A celebration of life will take place in the near future
