Ellen Etta DeShane age 78 passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Evergreen Care Center in Owasso, Oklahoma.
Mrs. DeShane was born January 8, 1928 in Geneva, Indiana to Roy Deffenbaugh and Anna (McKnight) Deffenbaugh. She graduated from high school and was a self-employed beautician for many years. She resided in Owasso for 25 years coming from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Ellen enjoyed gardening, along with cooking and entertaining her friends and family.
Ellen DeShane was preceded in death by both parents: Roy and Anna Deffenbaugh; one brother and one sister; her husband: Charles DeShane and her son: Fred Page.
Mrs. DeShane is survived by her son: David Turpin and his wife, Lissa of Jenks, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Melissa Turpin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Damian Turpin and his wife, Lindsay of Kearney, Missouri; great grandchildren: Brock Turpin of Jenks, Oklahoma and Braden Turpin of Kearney, Missouri; daughter: Linda LaMont of Spring Valley, California; step-son: Rick DeShane of Owasso, Oklahoma; step-grandchild: Eric DeShane of Owasso, Oklahoma; brother: Ron Deffenbaugh and his wife, Jean of Hart Ford City, Indiana; two sisters: Mary Vangeli of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Martha Miller of Ft. Wayne, Indiana along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, Owasso, Oklahoma. Reverend Kirby Skaggs will officiate.
