Doris M. Burnap

Doris M. Burnap age 87 went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Glenpool Health Care Center in Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Ms. Burnap was born January 22, 1919 in Shellburne Falls, Massachusetts to Charles Burnap and Eva Truesdell Burnap. She graduated from high school and attended business school. Doris worked for a private family as a housekeeper and nanny most of her adult life. She was of Christian faith and a member of First Baptist Church in Pasadena, California before she moved to Glenpool, Oklahoma. Ms. Burnap moved to Glenpool from Azusa, California in 1997 and was a resident of Glenpool Health Care Center for the past nine years. Ms. Burnap kept herself occupied by doing all kinds of arts and crafts. She was an excellent embroider; she loved to make aprons, teddy bears and dolls. She loved to read and she wrote short stories.
Doris Burnap is survived by her 2 nieces: Judith Wilson and Virginia Burnap both of Glenpool, Oklahoma. She is also survived by the two grand nephews and one grand niece: Shawn Wilson of Glenpool, Scott Wilson and his wife, Donna of Cleveland, Betty Lawson and her husband, Doug of Broken Arrow.
