Deborah Jones

Deborah "Detsi" Lynn Jones, 67 of Bixby, Oklahoma born on August 30, 1956, in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma, passed away on January 13, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Donna Gayle Burgess and Royce Taylor.

"Detsi"'s life journey led her to various places, including Lindsay, Oklahoma, Enid, Oklahoma, Farmington, New Mexico, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her early years were marked by academic success, and she proudly graduated from Memorial High School in Tulsa. Pursuing her passion for Art Education, she attended college and majored in the subject.

However, as life unfolded, Deborah discovered that her love for art was more of a personal passion than a professional calling. With resilience and adaptability, she transitioned her career to accounting, dedicating over 20 years to Paccar Braden Winch before ultimately retiring.

"Detsi" is survived by her long-time boyfriend, Orval Hixson, who was a constant companion in her life's journey. She is also survived by her brother, David Taylor, and his wife, Twyla, of Tulsa. "Detsi" leaves behind a legacy of love, as she is remembered by her nieces, nephews, and their spouses, along with seven great-nieces and nephews.

Family meant the world to "Detsi", and she is survived by her three children: Mykala and her husband Lee, Denzil Austin, Dillon Glenn and his wife Sarah. Her grandchildren, Brody, Molly, Jaxon, Ryder, and Ariana, brought immense joy to her life.

"Detsi" was preceded in death by both her parents, Donna Gayle Burgess and Royce Taylor. She cherished moments spent with friends and family, especially relishing the activities of her grandchildren. Her interests included art, painting, beadwork, and singing. She found pleasure in the freedom of motorcycle rides with Orval, creating lasting memories together.

In celebrating "Detsi"'s life, we remember a woman of strength, resilience, and love. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
