Deanie Norris

September 15, 1945 — September 7, 2023

Family and friends are invited to a come-and-go Celebration of Deanie's Life Gathering taking place on Monday, November 6 from 12:00-2:00 PM, at the Schaudt's Glenpool-Bixby Funeral Service at 1329 E 151st St S, Glenpool, OK 74033.

Brenda Geraldine "Deanie" Norris, 77, of Berryhill, OK, passed away surrounded by family on September 7, 2023, at Grace Living Center in Jenks, OK. Born September 15, 1945, at St. John Hospital in Tulsa, OK, she was the youngest of nine children of Martin T. Beck and Blanche (Whiting) Beck.

Deanie attended Webster High School, married Chester Norris in May 1965, raised three boys, and enjoyed owning and operating her cafés - Riverview Café and Mansion House Café. Deanie loved bowling - especially at Crystal City Bowling and River Lanes - knitting and crocheting, reading love stories, and playing cards - especially Canasta and poker. As a fierce competitor, she loved to win but hated to lose even more. As her grandkids were growing up, she loved Friday-night sleepovers, shopping at the mall on Saturdays, attending their sports games, and talking on the phone.

She is survived by the love of her life of 58 years, Chester Norris; three children and their spouses: Tracy and Kristi (Taylor) Norris, Randy and Ela (Hartmann) Norris, and Bryan and Misty (Martin) Norris; six grandchildren: Lauren (Norris) Callahan and her spouse Jason; Britni (Norris) Smith and her spouse Matt; Megan Norris; Noah Norris; Tyler Norris; and Cailey (Norris) Harris and her spouse Caden; and many extended family and friends that she enjoyed catching up with. Deanie was predeceased by her parents; her siblings: Ruby Beck, Juanita (Beck) Stanley, Martin "Junior" Beck, Clarence "Buster" Beck, Bill Beck, Lois (Beck) Winkle, Hazel (Beck) Smith, Don Beck, and Bob Beck; and many extended family and friends.

Deanie was always present and loved to be at events with family and friends. She delighted in listening to radio announcers during OU football games, while also watching the game on the TV. Through her years, Deanie remained the ultimate and truest Sooner fan. She is loved, and will be missed.
