David Lynell Kelley

July 29, 1957 — May 19, 2026

David Lynell Kelley was born in Salinas, California on July 29, 1957 to Shirley Bible and Earl Kelley. He spent most of his life in or around Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

David enlisted in the United States Navy in 1974 and proudly served 4 years. Soon after his service years he met the love of his life, Bobbie Jean, and spent the rest of his life with her.

David found joy in life's simple moments-sitting on the back porch with a cigar in hand and a Diet Coke by his side, taking in the outdoors he loved so much. He was an avid outdoorsman who was always tinkering with something, convinced he could fix just about anything. His curiosity, determination, and sense of humor were part of what made him so special to those around him.Above all else, David was a devoted "girl dad" through and through. He loved deeply, protected fiercely, and took immense pride in his daughters. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to family and friends alike.

David was proceeded in death by his mom Shirley Bible and Dad Earl Kelley, and beloved child Mitsy Kelley.

He is survived by his wife Bobbie Kelley, and 3 daughters Katie Kelley, Leona Kelley, and Marcy Kelley; 3 three granddaughters Elizabeth Kelley, Lillian Kelley and Bellamee Watts. And several cousins, aunts and uncles.

To know David was truly to love him, and his memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family will host a private memorial for David at his daughter Katie’s house on Saturday May, 23rd. If anyone wants information about time or place of memorial, please contact Katie at 918-777-0790, Leona at 918-304-7598, or Marcy at 918-759-8155.
