Cynthia Lynn Kennedy passed away with loving family by her side on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the age of 69.
Cynthia was born on December 8, 1956, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to her parents, Carl and Charlotte (Hartley) Cobb. She grew up in the Bixby area and was a proud graduate of Bixby High School, Class of 1975. During her high school years, she was a member of the Bixby State Basketball Championship team-an accomplishment she always held dear. Cynthia continued her education at Tulsa Community College, earning an associate degree in Business in 1980.
Throughout her career, Cynthia was known for her dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic. She worked in a law office for a time and also served as a court reporter. She later held positions at Bank of Oklahoma in the mortgage department, Citizens Security, and BancFirst, where she built lasting friendships and was respected for her reliability and kindness.
In her younger years, Cynthia loved to dance, and throughout her life she found joy in gardening, shopping, and especially celebrating Christmas. She treasured time spent with her family and grandchildren and had a natural gift for caring for others. She especially enjoyed playing Gears of War with her grandchildren, creating laughter-filled memories they will always cherish. Her faith was central to her life; she loved God deeply and spent many hours writing scriptures in spiral notebooks. She faithfully watched services online through Victory and found great comfort in God's Word. Cynthia also had a special love for animals.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Cobb.
Cynthia leaves behind many loving memories with her family, including her children, Ryan Miller, Keisha Miller, Christina Kennedy, and Cherice Kennedy; her mother, Charlotte Cobb; her grandchildren, D.J. Colley, Ava Benally, Savanah Miller, Gemma Lingle, Gianna Brown, Gunner Brown, Noah Deweese, Riley Barnett, Landon Barnett, Jace Barnett, Aleah Alley and Malachai Searight; and her great-grandchild, Sutton Miller. She is also survived by her sister, Carla, along with many other loving relatives and a host of dear friends.
