Christopher Allison Ghylin

Christopher Allison Ghylin passed away at the age of 45 on January 6, 2018 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Christopher was born on May 14, 1972 in San Diego, California to the parents of Nancy (Knutson) and Allison Ghylin.

Christopher spent his time working as an IT specialist for Conoco and Phillips 66.When he wasn’t working you could find him spending time reading, anything that had words he would pick up and read. He also spent a lot of time playing poker; he would call himself an avid poker player. If it was the weekend, he was watching any and all sports that he could, especially the Oklahoma State Cowboys; he wasn’t going to miss a game. Also Christopher adored all dogs and found such enjoyment being around them. Most importantly, Christopher loved his family. His family would tell you he is the most charitable, loyal, devoted loving family guy you have met. Christopher had a very special relationship with his nieces and nephew, something which they will always cherish. His sisters would joke and tell you that he was their favorite brother, because he was their only and he always told his mom that he was her favorite son.

Christopher is preceded in death by his father; Allison Ghylin, paternal grandfather; Gerald Ghylin, maternal grandfather; Howard Knutson, and maternal grandmother; Berdina Knutson.

He is survived by his mother; Nancy Ghylin, sisters; Anjanett Ghylin-Schmidt and her husband Randy Schmidt,and Kimberly Ghylin-Bernhardt and her husband Mark Bernhardt, nieces; Ashley Ghylin and Rebecca Ghylin, nephew; Eric Ghylin and paternal grandmother; Hazel Ghylin.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Schaudt’s Funeral Service in Tulsa, OK. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Fellowship Lutheran Church with Pastor Alan Fox officiating.
