Charles Eugene Crane

Charles Eugene Crane age 72 went to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 28,2005 at Cedarcrest Care Center in Broken Arrow surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Crane was born October 16, 1932 in Hugoton, Kansas to Walter E. Crane and Gracie Armour Crane. He graduated from Hugoton High School. Mr. Crane married his high school sweetheart, Theo Alma (Gooch) Crane in Wichita, Kansas on August 30, 1952. Mr. Crane resided in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for the past 5 years coming from Hugoton, Kansas where he lived for 67 years. He worked as a self-employed businessman until retirement. Mr. Crane enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and attending church where he was saved on Easter Sunday in 1963. He was a deacon of First Christian Church, served on Stevens County Hospital Board and a chartered president of the Hugoton Jaycees. Mr. Crane was preceded in death by his father, Walter E. Crane, his son, Ronald Eugene Crane and his daughter, Charla Ann Holder. Mr. Crane is survived by his mother: Gracie Armour Crane of Hugoton; his loving and devoted wife, Theo Alma Crane, Broken Arrow, OK; daughter: Deborah Donaldson and her husband, Mike, Broken Arrow, OK; sons: Jereme and his wife, Shannon Crane, Broken Arrow, OK; Mark Alan and his wife, April Crane, Hugoton, Kansas and 11 grandchildren. Charles is also survived by 2 brothers: Donald Ray Crane and his wife, Beverly; Robert Lee Crane and his wife, Marilyn, and one sister, Linda Jeanne Teel and her husband, Ike, Hugoton, Kansas. Services were held at North Heights Church of Christ, Bixby, OK on Friday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Milton Smith officiating. A church service in Hugoton, Kansas was held Saturday, April 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Hugoton Church of Christ with Minister Lee Skelton officiating. Burial was in Stevens County Cemetery, Hugoton, Kansas.
