Carolyn Marie Gilbert

Carolyn Marie Gilbert passed away with loving family by her side on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the age of 72.

Carolyn was born on September 25, 1953, in Bakersfield, California, to Andrew Burns and Mary (Flores) Knight. She met the love of her life, Billy Gilbert, and together they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and love.

A devoted homemaker, Carolyn dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle of Praise in Henryetta, Oklahoma, where her strong faith in the Lord was evident to all who knew her. Carolyn was known as a strong Christian woman whose love for God guided every aspect of her life.

She found great joy in spending time with her family and making memories together. Carolyn loved shopping and finding treasures at garage sales, as well as traveling to the lake in her camper and going on mountain ATV adventures in Colorado. She always took pride in her appearance and was rarely seen without her hair and makeup perfectly done. Above all, she cherished her family. She faithfully attended her grandsons' sporting activities , cheering them on from the stands and supporting them every step of the way.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Burns, and her mother, Mary Knight, Father in law William Gilbert, brother in law Dennis Rame.

She leaves behind many loving memories to be cherished by her husband, Billy Gilbert; daughter, Melissa Gilbert; her son; Andrew Gilbert, Tammy Gilbert; three beloved grandchildren;Bryce Gilbert wife Courtlyn Gilbert, Wade Gilbert, Bo Gilbert: Great grandson Cooper Gilbert; Sister Janice Rame; Brother Michael Burns, wife Donna Burns; Sister Teresa Kidd and many other loving relatives and dear friends.

Carolyn's unwavering faith, strength, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
