Carles Gene Acton

October 17, 1971 — May 19, 2026

Carles Gene Acton passed away on May 19th, 2026 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma surrounded by his beloved family, friends, and dogs. Carles "Precious" was born to Tommie and Bruce Acton II on October 17th, 1971 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. After graduating from Kiefer High School in 1990, Carles earned the name "Sparky," a name that would stay with him for the rest of of life, while attending Northeastern State University. He then went on to study culinary arts at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology.

In adulthood, Carles found his greatest adventure in building a life and raising four children, Chelsea, Madalyn, Paiton, and Carson with the love of his life, "Les." Carles married Leslie Hammons in 1995, and they celebrated 30 remarkable years together last August. Carles was truly "Coach Dad." If he wasn't actually coaching, he attended every practice, game, or rehearsal. With notes, and his headphones if the Chicago Cubs were playing.

Carles rarely sat still for long. He loved basketball, hunting, golf, fishing, and spending time in the kitchen cooking alongside his Granny. Whatever he was doing, he enjoyed sharing it with the people he cared about. Nothing made him happier than bringing family and friends together, especially around a good meal.

Carles' wisdom discernment were gifts to all who knew him. A man of strong character and quiet integrity, he believed in doing what was right, even when no one was watching. He had an innate ability to uplift those around him. Above all, Carles was deeply devoted to his family, often reminding them that they were "everything" to him. Carles filled many tables with delicious food, genuine laughter, and a larger-than-life personality that will be forever missed.

Carles is survived by his soulmate, Leslie Acton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his four children, Chelsea and Taylor Easton of Kiefer, Oklahoma, Madalyn Acton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Paiton Acton of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Carson Acton of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one brother, Bruce Acton III and wife Cyndi Acton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; "Pops" is also survived by his two grandchildren, Landon and Ellie Easton; and nieces and nephews and numerous friends, many of which he considered family. Carles is preceded in death by his partents, Tommie and Bruce Acton II.
