Carl Eugene Hurst

Carl Hurst, a resident of Okmulgee, OK passed away at home on October 24, 2022. He was born on April 9, 1943 to James and Lena Mae Hurst in Okmulgee, OK.

He graduated high school from Morris, OK. On December 1, 1961, Carl married Barbara (West) Hurst in Okmulgee, OK. Carl worked as a Meat Market Manager for Warehouse Market and Neal's Mission Lane most of his life.

Carl loved teaching and coaching baseball. He coached all his sons Little Leaque baseball teams.

Carl and Barbara(Bobbie) have 5 children (3 sons and 2 daughters). Jimmy and wife Cheryl Hurst, Ray and wife Trish Hurst, Connie Brown. Jeanette Keever, and Casey and wife April Hurst are all from Okmulgee, OK. He has 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Carl has 5 brothers (Donnie, Jimmy, David, Jerry, Rickie Hurst), and 3 sisters(Wanda Beach, Joy Murphy, and Ruthie Trower). Carl was preceded in death by his parents James and Lena Mae Hurst.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at First Baptist Church in Preston, OK at 2:00 P.M on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
