In Loving Memory of Caleb Thomas Furley

September 6, 2001 - October 12, 2026

Caleb Thomas Furley, 25, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026. He was a loving son, brother, father, and friend. His life was much too short, but the love he gave and the memories he made will stay with us always.

Caleb was born on September 6, 2001, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Roger and Melinda (Self) Furley. He brought so much love and happiness to his family, and we feel very blessed to have had him in our lives.

Caleb was a senior at the University of Oklahoma's Gallogly College of Engineering, studying computer science and mathematics. He was very talented at computer programming and had an incredible mind. He was always curious and loved learning new things. He was looking forward to graduating in May 2027, and we were all very proud of him.

Caleb loved history and could remember an amazing amount of information about the things he studied. When something interested him, he would spend hours learning everything he could about it. He had a wonderful memory and a way of becoming completely absorbed in the things he loved.

He also loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, going to the lake, and spending time in nature. Caleb dreamed of having a homestead someday, where he could live a quieter life, be close to the land, and build a home of his own. It was a dream that suited him perfectly.

More than anything, Caleb loved being a father to his son, Harry. Harry was Caleb's greatest joy, and the two of them were best friends. They loved playing together, laughing together, and spending time side by side. Caleb treasured every moment with Harry, and being his dad meant everything to him. The bond they shared was truly special and will always be a part of Caleb's story.

Caleb's beloved son, Harry Furley, whom he loved more than anything, passed away before him.

Caleb is survived by his parents, Roger Furley and Melinda (Self) Furley; his brother, Colton Furley; his stepfather, Kelly Baldwin; his stepmother, Andrea Nash; his grandparents, Harold and Connie Self; and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

We will remember Caleb for his intelligence, his curiosity, his love of history, his sense of wonder, and his love for the outdoors. Most of all, we will remember how much he loved his family and his son.

There is no way to put into words how much we miss Caleb. We will hold on to the memories of his laughter, his interests, his kindness, and the time we were lucky enough to share with him. Losing him has left a space in our family that can never be filled.

Caleb will always be loved, always be missed, and never be forgotten. His life was far too short, but the love he gave us will remain with us forever.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.
