Brenda Jean Sanders

Brenda Jean Sanders, age 68, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, died Thursday, June 10, 2021, with family by her side.

Brenda was born November 29, 1952, in Bartlesville, OK to her parents, Gerald and Helen (Wilson) Leverich. She grew up in Dewey, Oklahoma and graduated from Dewey High School with the class of 1971. In 1969 Brenda met Ronnie Sanders, who was her high school sweetheart and love of her life. They were married and enjoyed many wondrous years together, and to this union two children were born, Christopher and Jennifer.

Brenda was unique. She never met a stranger and within seconds of talking to her you always felt comfortable and at home. She was fun, and fun-loving. Brenda had a joyous attitude toward life, and was somewhat of a hippie at heart. She always put others before herself and loved and cared for those around her.

Over the years Brenda did many activities, mostly because she was so creative. She could be described as a real 'Renaissance Woman' dabbling in painting, cross stitch, and sewing, just to name a few. Ron and Brenda enjoyed traveling, either taking long voyages or simple day trips, but would usually find an antique store along the way to explore.

However, above everything else her grandchildren were number one thing in her life. She was always happy to care for them and do anything they needed.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Ron; children Christopher Sanders, and his wife Natalie, and Jennifer McKeown, and her husband Kevin; sisters, Terri Hammer and husband Brad, and Katie Leathers, and husband Jim; and five grandchildren, Payton, Thomas, Jackson, William, and Beau.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Brenda's life will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel.
