A funeral service honoring and remembering the life of Bonnie Marquice (Price) Manuel will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 2PM at Protection Christian Church, Protection, Kansas.
Bonnie or Marquice as many knew her, was born May 1, 1938 in Protection, Kansas to Neva Wray (Hughes) Price and Hiram Eugene Price.
She attended Protection High School and was part of the 1956 graduating class. After high school, Bonnie attended business college in Wichita, Kansas.
While Bonnie was working at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas she met the love of her life, Thomas J. Manuel. On July 5, 1958 they got married in Protection, Kansas.
Not long after Bonnie and Thomas were married they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1959 and then moved to their forever home at Lake Keystone in 1972.
Bonnie worked for Tulsa County as a supervisor of microfilming for over 20 years and finally retired in 2001.
She attended Millennial Tulsa Church.
Bonnie cherished the time she could spend in her garden. She loved growing flowers and vegetables, watching humming birds and landscaping around their home. When Bonnie wasn't outside you could often find her crafting or finding new ways to decorate the interior of their home. She had an outgoing and fun-loving personality who was always generous to others. Bonnie was an inspiration to others with her strong faith and positive mindset. She loved the time she could spend with her family and they will all greatly miss her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Neva Wray (Hughes) Price and Hiram Eugene Price; sisters, Donna Story and Nila Swayze; and brother, Eldon "Butch" Price.
Survivors include her loving husband, Thomas J. Manuel; children, Kelly Fidler and her husband, Jerry, Jay Manuel, and Mindy Albert and her husband, Roger; grandchildren, Merry Fidler, Jessica Abraham, Lauren Manuel, Rachel Manuel, Jesse Albert, Hunter Albert, and Tanner Albert; and one great-grandson, Levi Abraham. She also leaves one sister, Julie Herd.
Viewing will be held Thursday, February 2, 2018 from 5PM to 8PM at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service.
