Billie Marie Edmundson passed away on Sunday, February 11th, 2024 at the age of 69 yrs. Billie was residing at her home on the family farm in Catoosa, OK when she passed, after a lengthy illness. Billie was born December 26, 1954 in Broken Arrow to Carl & Wanda Edmundson. She graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1973, and began her career working for the BA Police department as a dispatcher & court clerk. She found her calling at Tulsa Police Dept and spent 26 years working as a call taker & dispatcher on the midnight shift.
Billie married David Myers in 1981 and they welcomed their son, James Clinton Myers into their lives in 1982. She was active in Clint's Cub Scout & Boy Scout years as well as helping him win ribbons at the local fairs. Her first love was her family, but was followed closely by traveling. She spent many weekends at the Blue Hole Park in Salina OK. She visited Mexico, Hawaii, Bahamas, Panama Canal and most of the 50 US states, but her favorite was Alaska. She visited Alaska several times and lived there for a while after her retirement.
Billie was proceeded in death by her parents, sister Jane Burnett, brother Carl Edmundson, and grandparents, Jim & Blanche Benson and Frank & Almeda Edmundson. She is survived by her son Clint Myers, wife Morgan, sister Linda Dovers, sister in law Shari Edmundson, brother and sister in law Larry & Sue Burnett and a hosts of nieces, nephews & cousins.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 24th at 1:00, as Billie didn't want anyone to take off work to attend. This will be held at Timber Ridge Assembly of God at 30095 S. 4120 Road, Catoosa. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the the church or a charity of your choice in her name. Schaudt's Funeral Service has been entrusted in her care.
