William "Bill" Easley passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on December 22, 1948, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the son of Willis and Virdie Mae Easley.
Bill graduated from Central High School in Phoenix and went on to graduate from Arizona State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972. Following his service, he built a long and successful career in residential construction, working for many years before retiring in 2025.
Bill was known for his outgoing personality and his remarkable ability to connect with anyone he met-he truly never met a stranger. He was known to light up the room with his rendition of "Mack the Knife", singing the Bobby Darin classic at many watering holes and family weddings across the country.
He had a deep love for the game of golf and spent as much time on the course as he could. Even in his final weeks, he could be found chipping and putting. Earlier in life, he was also an avid hunter, a passion he enjoyed for more than 30 years.
Bill showed remarkable strength throughout his life. After overcoming pancreatic cancer nine years ago, Bill fought a courageous nine-month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) with remarkable strength and grace. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who cared for Bill with compassion, dignity, and kindness throughout his illness.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Willis and Virdie Mae Easley, and his brother Mike Easley. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jane Dunlay Easley; his children, Katie Easley, Melissa Easley, Patrick (Caroline) Easley, and Casey (Kevin) Keller; and his cherished grandchildren, Cambyll, Blake, Easton, Hayes, and Max.
Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew him and remembered for his warmth, his humor, and the joy he brought into every room.
Services will be held Tuesday, May 5th at 4:00 p.m. at St. Rita Chapel at Cascia Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation or the Talent Thrives With Opportunity (TTWO) Campaign at Cascia Hall.
