Betty Ann Hale

Betty Ann Hale, 91, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Friday, January 30, 2026.

Betty was born on December 4, 1934, in Liberty Morris, Oklahoma, to her parents, Sam and Jo (Woods) Spurgeon. She was raised in the small Okmulgee County community and graduated from Liberty Morris High School in 1952.

On May 24, 1952, Betty married Jim Hale. Together they built a life centered on faith and family and were blessed with three children. Betty was deeply family-centered, and those closest to her knew that family always came first. The family holds fond memories of summers spent fishing and camping together.

Betty enjoyed canning, sewing, and gardening and took great pride in caring for her home and loved ones. She and her family made Jenks their home in 1959 and were longtime residents. She was a faithful member of Airview Tabernacle for many years and later NewSpring Assembly of God, where her faith remained an important part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Hale, in 2023; her son, Keith Hale; and her sisters, Wanda and Donna.

Betty is survived by her son, Larry Kim Hale; her daughter, Tonya Lee; her grandchildren, Zane Hale, Jared Hale, Adrienne Williams, Gabrielle Colston, Jason Hale, and Tiffany Hale; and her great-grandchildren, Caleb Hale, Jared Hale, Jude Hale, Penny Lane Hale, Prairie Hale, Blake Brown, Kalie Brown, Ryan Brown, and Iris Hale.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on February 7, 2026, at NewSpring Family Church, 2907 W. 108th Place South, Jenks, Oklahoma, with Pastor Greg Ables officiating.
