The world lost one of its most beautiful souls when Betty Annis Gibbons passed away on November 11, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 92. Born on February 18, 1933, in Leslie, Arkansas, to Dennis and Audrie (Canfield) Morrison, Betty grew up in Turley, Oklahoma, after her family relocated there for her father's work.
From an early age, Betty's grace and charm were undeniable. She loved to dance and skate-winning skating awards along the way-and even did some modeling in her younger years. She was truly a stunning woman, inside and out, with a smile that could light up any room.
Betty's life was full of love, laughter, and adventure. Fate brought her to the love of her life, Donald Ray Gibbons, in a soda pop shop. In true storybook fashion, Donald was immediately smitten-even though Betty had originally tried to set him up with her friend. But fate again intercepted. The two became inseparable, sharing a lifetime of devotion, laughter, and memories until his passing.
Betty embraced her role as a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Donald didn't want her to work-he wanted her to simply raise their family and enjoy life-and she did just that. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with hobbies and shared passions. They loved to golf (Betty proudly earned two holes-in-one, one in Bermuda!), bowl, square dance, and travel the world. They made frequent trips to Florida, spent weekends at their beloved lake house, and enjoyed every adventure side by side.
At home, Betty was known for her warmth and hospitality. She was a wonderful cook and hostess, always ready to entertain friends and family with unbeatable 12 course meals for the holidays. She loved her friends, and adored her family with all her heart.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald Ray Gibbons, grandson Tommy Don Panther, siblings Marie Felts and J.D. Morrison, and her parents.
She leaves behind two daughters who adored her: Deanne Green and Vicky Ross. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Brandon Green (Laura Janneck), Nathan Green (Jordan), Angie Panther (Steve Hubbard), Carrie Baker (Mark), Tyson Ray, Chase Ross (Ankush), Clayton Ross, Kylie Moore (Chad), and Jared Ross; her 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, all of whom were the light of her life.
Betty was truly one of a kind-a firecracker, a beauty, a loyal friend, and the heart of her family. She lived a full, joyful life and leaves behind countless cherished memories. Her sparkle, laughter, and loving spirit will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
