Bernard John Massett

Bernard John Massett age 82 went to be with his Lord on October 14, 2005 at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mr. Massett was born April 25, 1923 in Goldenvalley, North Dakota to Jacob and Barbara (Schneider) Massett. Mr. Massett grew up in South Dakota and attended school in Ridgeview, South Dakota. On September 18, 1953 he married his sweetheart and love of his life, Vivian Massett.
As an adult, John worked in the logging industry. His logging skills took him to the states of Washington, Oregon, and California. He also worked in the refrigeration business while residing in Oregon.
Bernard John Massett resided in Tulsa with his niece and caregiver, Patty Ehmann, for the past three years.
Mr. Massett was preceded in death by both parents, his wife, Vivian (April 21, 1985), one grandson, one great grandson and step-daughter, Joan Zimmerman of Denver, Colorado.
He is survived by his sister: Julia Munyon of Palmer, Alaska; 2 daughters: Peggy Fisher of Palmdale, California; Patricia DeVocht and her husband, James of Davenport, Iowa; his niece: Patty Ehmann of Tulsa, Oklahoma; step-daughter: Donna Cockerham of Carlton, Oregon; 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great grandchildren.
Visitation is Saturday, October 15, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service, 719 East 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma.
A memorial service will take place 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2005 at International Gospel Center, 7143 E. 10th Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma with Pastor Chyanna Mull-Anthony officiating. Interment will be at Gibson Cemetery, Stone Bluff, Oklahoma Tuesday, October 18, 2005.
In lieu of flowers memorials/ donations may be given to International Gospel Center (re: South Dakota Mission Trip), 7143 E. 10th Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma (918 836-5525).
