Perry Lynn Elliott, 70, of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away on September 10, 2026. He was born May 9, 1956, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Barney Leno and Marjorie Montene Lewis Elliott.
Perry, lovingly known as “Bear,” was a man who was deeply loved by his family and by everyone fortunate enough to know him. He never met a stranger and had a way of making people feel like friends from the very beginning. He was kind, generous, hardworking, selfless, empathetic, caring, loving, and eased the burden of those he loved.
Perry's family was his purpose, and he loved them more than anything. He was a protector, a provider, a problem solver, and the kind of man who did everything to take care of his family. He was the best person for advice and comfort. His smile and bright eyes radiated warmth and his hugs instantly made things better.
Perry was a successful businessman and professional driver who took great pride in his work. He loved being behind the wheel, traveling, and having the freedom to see where the road might take him. He was always ready for an adventure and enjoyed making memories along the way.
He was known for his stories, especially his spooky stories, which he told repeatedly at his children’s request. Perry had a natural ability to make people laugh and enjoy themselves. He was lighthearted, and his personality shone bright. He never missed a chance to dance and tell jokes. He could always keep a room entertained.
He loved to sing and, according to those who knew him best, he could sing like Elvis. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, playing pool, cards, and dominoes. Some of his favorite times were gathered with family around the table playing games, especially Chicken Leg.
More than anything, Perry loved his family. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him, and the love he had for them was evident in everything he did. He was a constant presence in their lives and took great pride in taking care of them and watching them grow. His love, guidance, stories, laughter, and the way he cared for those around him will remain with them always. His selflessness and unconditional love is admirable.
Perry shared a special and treasured bond with his soulmate, Karyn Joy. Together, they shared a love that was deeply meaningful and unique. They created a life filled with family, laughter, adventures, memories, and love.
Perry is survived by Karyn Joy; his children, Jacob Elliott and his wife Emily, Matthew Elliott, Levi Elliott and and his wife Jordan, Nathan Elliott and his wife Ariel, Keri Anne Elliott, and Dani-Rion Flick; his grandchildren, Kanon, Jaxon, and Beau Lynn; his sisters, Maxine Thomas, Barbara Williams and husband, Mike, and Amanda Pepe and husband, Daniel; and his nieces and nephews, Angela Boult, Shannon Thomas, Montene Bryant, Michelle Nelson, Brandon Williams, Jason Williams, Kevin Williams, and Samuel Pepe, along with many other family members and dear friends who love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney Leno and Marjorie Montene Elliott, and his brother, Steve Elliott.
Perry leaves behind a family who love him profoundly and a lifetime of memories that will never be forgotten. He was a man who loved fiercely, worked hard, took great care of his family, made friends wherever he went, and always had a story to tell. Perry was truly one of a kind. He left a wonderful impact on those he knew, and even those he just met. He will be missed more than words can say, and will be loved forever.
