Barbara Trunk

Barbara Carole Trunk, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on November 7, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 78. She was born on November 24, 1944, in Lowpoint, Illinois, and her life was filled with love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Barbara was a woman of many talents and passions. She had an undeniable love for fishing and would often take trips to Minnesota to enjoy the serene lakes and the thrill of the catch. Her patience and calm demeanor made her an avid fisherman who didn't mind spending hours in a boat with a pole in the water, appreciating the simple joys of nature.

Barbara's life was also marked by a profound love story. She and her husband, James Robert Trunk, were happily married for 54 years. Their journey began in Illinois, where they shared their vows and embarked on a life full of shared adventures and enduring love.

Gardening was her therapy, and she had a green thumb that brought life and color to her surroundings. Barbara adored digging in the dirt and nurturing her garden, finding solace and peace in the act of tending to her beloved plants and flowers.

In addition to her passion for fishing and gardening, Barbara was a talented seamstress. She lovingly handcrafted clothing for her children, leaving them with cherished memories of her care and creativity. She was also a dedicated caretaker who was actively involved in her children's activities, always there to support and encourage them.

Kindness was a fundamental part of Barbara's nature. She was known for her gentle and compassionate spirit, which touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warm smile and open heart made her the kindest person in the eyes of many.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, James Robert Trunk, and their two children, Andrea (Ronald) and Jennifer. She leaves behind four adoring grandchildren: Rachael, Zachary, Caleb, and Tyler. Barbara is also survived by her sister, Sharon, and her brother, Harold "Doc," both residing in Illinois.

Barbara Carole Trunk's memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and the simple joys of life, which she shared with everyone she met. She will be dearly missed but always remembered with love and fondness in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel, 5757 South Memorial Drive.
