Antonio Latrell Grass

Antonio Latrell Grass, 27, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on September 5, 2026, in Evanston, Illinois. He was born on July 30, 1999, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Kassandra Yost and Nickolas Grass.

Antonio grew up in Tulsa and attended Memorial High School. He was the oldest of his siblings and grandchildren in his family and was very close to those he loved. Antonio loved his parents and siblings deeply and enjoyed spending time with the people who meant the most to him.

Antonio was a loving, giving, and caring person who was always willing to help others. He would give the shirt off his back to someone in need without a second thought. He was very family-oriented and would regularly call or text just to check on his loved ones and see how they were doing. Antonio had a heart of gold and naturally put others before himself. His smile could brighten anyone's day, and his laugh was contagious. He saw the good and beauty in the world around him.

Antonio liked to joke, laugh, and have a good time no matter what was going on. He enjoyed trying new things, going on adventures, and making memories. He loved football, basketball, and music. Antonio was also a talented artist who enjoyed drawing and had a very creative mind.

He had a natural ability to tinker with things, put things together, and figure out how they worked. He dreamed of becoming an architect and enjoyed creating, building, and solving problems. If Antonio didn't know how to do something, he would figure it out and find a way.

Antonio spent time with his grandfather Larry learning the trade of welding. He enjoyed learning from him and, even more, treasured the time they spent together. It was also while spending time with his grandfather Larry that Antonio found his faith. He was baptized with the love and support of his mother, siblings, and grandfather proudly watching as he made that important choice.

Antonio enjoyed the outdoors and was never afraid to get his hands dirty. Even as a child, he would build forts in the backyard for himself and his siblings. At the same time, Antonio had a style all his own. When it was time to dress up and make an impression, he knew how to show up looking his best.

Antonio is survived by his mother, Kassandra Yost; his siblings, Alonna, Zachariah, Malachi, Ka'Lina, and Lydia; his nephew, Aurthur; his aunts, Bobbie Mayes and Monica Beverly; and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry Grass, Norman Littleman, and Sophia Rodriguez.

Antonio was imperfectly perfect-perfectly himself in every way. He had his flaws, his stubborn moments, and his own way of doing things, but those were all pieces of the person his family and friends knew and loved so deeply. He never needed to be perfect to them; he was simply Antonio, and that was more than enough.

There will never be another Antonio. He was uniquely himself, and his place in the hearts of those who loved him can never be filled. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
