Anna Mona Wilkerson
Anna Mona Wilkerson passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the age of 63.
Anna was born on June 6, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Bob and LaNell (Danker) Howell. She was blessed with a vibrant personality that drew people to her wherever she went. Fiercely loving, compassionate, resilient, and delightfully feisty, Anna never met a stranger and could always be counted on for a good conversation, a warm smile, and a story that would leave everyone laughing.
To those who knew her best, Anna was a "professional grandma." Her grandchildren were the center of her world, and she made sure everyone-family, friends, and even the dogs-always had a snack waiting for them. She had a legendary "Secret closet" filled with gifts tucked away for every occasion, ensuring birthdays, holidays, and special moments were always celebrated. She loved hosting family gatherings, filling her home with laughter, memories, and love.
Anna had a passion for gardening and spent many years working at Southwood Nursery, where her green thumb flourished. She found joy in caring for her plants, feeding and watching her birds, and playfully waging war against the squirrels that dared invade her yard. Whether she was tending to her flowers, or simply sitting outside enjoying nature, she found happiness in life's simple pleasures.
She was also a devoted wife who loved cooking special meals for her husband, Scott, and together they shared a lifetime of adventures. Anna was a proud breast cancer survivor whose strength and determination inspired those around her. She and Scott traveled to NASCAR races across many states over the years, creating cherished memories together while enthusiastically cheering on their favorite driver, Christopher Bell.
Anna and Scott's love story began in the most unexpected way. They met while Anna was moving into her apartment and Scott happened to live upstairs. Their whirlwind romance led to marriage on March 19, 1983, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, beginning more than four decades of unwavering love and partnership.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Scott Wilkerson; her sons, Shane Wilkerson and wife Melissa, and Tyler Wilkerson and wife Elise; her treasured grandchildren, Makenlee, Charlie, Kaidi, Walker, and Mason; her siblings, John Howell, Kala Harbeston, and Mark Howell and wife Patti; brother in law Rick and Kelly Wilkerson and mother in law Jerrie Wilkerson along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.
Anna was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bob and LaNell Howell.
Public Viewing and Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Schaudt's Glenpool-Bixby Funeral Service.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Schaudt's Glenpool-Bixby Funeral Service, 1329 East 151st Street South, Glenpool, Oklahoma.
