Anita Gayle Bolch Smith, age 86, peacefully passed from earth to Heaven on October 6, 2026, with her loving family by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kind heart, caring spirit, and wonderful sense of humor touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Anita was born on September 2, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Estil and Juanita (Pickard) Bolch. Throughout her life, Anita found great joy in caring for others. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a role that reflected her naturally compassionate and nurturing heart.
Anita had many hobbies and interests that brought her happiness throughout the years. She loved flower arranging, gardening, shopping, crafts, jewerly making with her sister, and had a special appreciation for a good antique. She had a way of finding beauty in the little things and enjoyed sharing those things with the people she loved.
Above all, Anita was a loving and caring woman who loved Jesus and treasured her family deeply. Even while living with dementia, she maintained her wonderful sense of humor and continued to bring smiles and laughter to those around her. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was affectionately known as "Grandma Smith," or simply "Granny Smith Apple." These loving names became a reflection of the special place she held in the hearts of her family.
Anita's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Rainbow Health Care Community in Bristow for the kindness, compassion, and care they showed Anita. She was always happy there and felt safe, secure, and surrounded by people who truly cared about her. Her family will always be grateful for the warmth and comfort they provided and for the peace of mind they brought to those who loved her.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Smith; her parents, Estil and Juanita Bolch; her son, Robert "Brett" Allen; her sister, Janice Barton; and her brother, Dean Bolch.
She leaves behind many precious memories to be cherished by her family, including her son, Bryan Allen and wife Jeannie; daughter-in-law, Laura Allen; grandchildren, Justin Allen and wife Brittni, Brittani Allen and wife Lilly, Jessi Mann and husband Joe, and Derek Allen and wife Kelsey; and her great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Avery, Jozie, Jaida, Jailyn, Journee, Jaxie, Teigan, Crosbie, and Haven.
Anita's life was a beautiful reflection of love, faith, family, and laughter. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on through the many lives she touched and through the generations of family who will carry her love with them. Her family will forever cherish the laughter she shared, the love she gave so freely, and the countless memories that will remain in their hearts.
