Allen Michael Vargas

A great loss has stricken the hearts of our family as we announce the passing of Allen Vargas, 43 of Claremore, Ok.

He died doing what he loved in the ambiance of the night's presence, a star riddled sky, taking his last breaths of this earth riding his Harley Davidson.

Born on the Central Coast of California, to very proud parents, Edward and Marcie Vargas. Allen was welcomed and adored by his family on February 28th, 1980.

His Childhood home was his sanctuary for many adventures. Catching lizards, a tree climber, swinging and bouncing through life, a carefree boy who loved playing with hot wheels in the sand, a skateboarder, guitar picker, and 3-wheeler daredevil all wrapped in one. Allen collected Star Wars memorabilia, scaling local swap meets as a kid in search of a new piece for his collection. As a teen, he loved old Honda 3-wheelers and square body Chevrolet pickups.

He spent many days at the beach letting air out of his tires to make the trek to Competition Hill, where he would race his truck up the legendary sand dune. He attended local area schools, where he made a tremendous number of lifelong friends. He Graduated from Lopez High School class of 98’.

As a young man he excelled as a mechanic, and his abilities to fix all things abound throughout his life.

He lived and worked in his hometown until by chance he met a pretty girl, named Shannon McCormick, and their romance blossomed from there. Soon, he would leave his familiar coastal home behind. He acquired a job with Warren CAT where he would spend the next 15 years, in Tulsa, Ok. He acquired a new loving extended family that welcomed him with arms wide open.

He spent his free time going to auctions and finding treasures to bring home. He loved nature and spent time working around the yard, always improving the landscape around him. He enjoyed cook outs on his Santa Maria Style BBQ he built. Allen was always the guy you could call for help and he mentored many. His abundance of friends and family all know what a true blessing it was to have him in their lives. Brother your song has ended but your sweet melody lingers on in our hearts, you were truly a shining star. You left the world a better place in the short time you had here.

He is survived by Fiance, Shannon McCormick of Claremore, Mother Marcie Clemens of Calif. Sisters, Denise Wiebe (Rodney)of Calif. Lindsey Vargas(Red) nieces Olivia, Violet, and nephew Parker all of Texas.

Also leaves behind all of his Vargas, Clemens and McCormick families, as well as a host of lifelong friends, work friends, and new friends. He was preceded in death by his father Edward Vargas, paternal and maternal Grandparents and Fiance's Father, Terry McCormick.

Memorial services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, October 6, 2023, a reception will follow from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service, 5757 South Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK 74145.
