Ada Mae Loucks, 87, passed away on March 22, 2026. She was born on August 13, 1938, in May, Oklahoma, and grew up in Woodward, Oklahoma, where she also attended school.
Following her education, Ada met the love of her life, Willie Loucks. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and devotion. Ada dedicated many years as a homemaker, raising their children with care, strength, and unwavering affection. Once her children were grown, she continued her life of service by working for the Woodward Public Schools until her retirement.
Ada found her greatest joy in her family. Thanksgiving was a cherished tradition, bringing everyone together to share laughter, stories, and gratitude. Christmases were equally special, as Ada and Willie would often travel together, enjoying time and adventures as a couple.
She had a passion for crocheting and took great pride in her work. Ada also loved playing horseshoes and was well known as a fair and respected scorekeeper at many tournaments. Her love for travel and simple pleasures reflected her warm and spirited nature.
To her grandchildren, Ada was a constant source of love and comfort-someone who made each of them feel deeply cared for and never alone. Her presence was a steady reminder of kindness, compassion, and unconditional love.
Ada is survived by her brother, Jack Barker; her children, Lynda Frederick and husband Terry, Lonnie Loucks, Sue Loucks, and Ray Loucks and wife Leahann; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Loucks, her parents, Oral and Lola Barker; her twin daughters, Sherri and Terri Loucks; her daughter, Donna Wright; her brother, Jimmy Barker, and her sister Darlene Lanham.
Ada Mae Loucks will be remembered for her deep love of family, her generous heart, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
