William Patrick Meeks

A funeral service honoring and remembering the life of William Patrick Meeks will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 1 PM at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel with Gary Volz officiating. Pat passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018. He was 76.

Pat was born July 8, 1941 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Georgia Mourine (Lewis) Meeks and Clayton Taylor Meeks.

In 2007, Pat moved from Artesia, New Mexico to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Pat had the gift of music. He played the saxophone and could "make it talk". If he wasn't enjoying music he could often be found outside hunting dove and quail or fishing for striper. From 1971 to 1978 he coached youth basketball the "Deming Kittens". Their record was 78 wins and 33 losses. He was a great man and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Dee Meeks; daughter, Pamela Christine Meeks; parents, Georgia Mourine (Lewis) Meeks and Clayton Taylor Meeks; and siblings, George Meeks, James Michel Meeks and Clayton Taylor Meeks.

Survivors include sons, Patrick "Keith" Meeks and his wife, Lisa of Memphis, TN, Preston "Kipp" Meeks and his wife, Kim of Centennial, CO; grandchildren, Trey Bailey, Jessica Smith, Tanner, Tucker and Duke; great grandchildren, Tristan, Nickolei, and Kaceson; and sister-in-law, Teresa Luckett of Tulsa, OK.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of William Patrick Meeks to the National Kidney Foundation.
