William Cletus Cooper

May 11, 1935 — August 3, 2020

William C. “Bill” Cooper, age 85, born May 11, 1935, passed away peacefully Monday, August 3, 2020. Bill was a member of the Skelly Park Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Tulsa, OK. He was a widower after his wife of 60 years, Dottie Cooper (Dorothy Ann Lowe), passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Cletus and Elizabeth Cooper, and all of his siblings Bobby, Betty, Richard, and David Cooper.

Bill was an elder in his congregation and loved his duties. He was a member of the Hospital Visitation Committee. He and Dottie enjoyed many Kingdom Hall builds and remodels all over the country. Bill and Dottie loved snow skiing and camping. They enjoyed the trips doing these adventures with their brothers and sisters from their congregation. Bill and Dottie were determined from the start of their 60-year successful marriage to have a 3 fold cord with Jehovah leading the way. Bill and Dottie were faithful to their beliefs their entire lives. Dottie passed away from Alzheimer’s. Bill suffered from Vascular Dementia. Together, they enjoyed time attending Oasis Day Services. Later Bill attended Life Senior Services and Memory Care at Emerald. They loved their caregivers as much as those caregivers loved them. Neither deserved the horrid disease of Dementia, but they both managed its terrors with grace and dignity.

Bill was an Electrician by trade and a member of the I.B.E.W. for 60 years. As an Electrical Engineer, he traveled all over the world. He loved the travel and often was accompanied by his wife and daughters. One adventure was a 16-month trip to England with Dottie, Susan, and Beverly.

The family would like to extend huge thanks to Oasis Day Services, Life Senior Services, Hospice of Green Country, and Memory Care at Emerald, and all of their staff members that helped the family and Bill and Dottie travel the Dementia Road. Additionally, we thank the various home caregivers, Miss Donna, Miss Kasi, Miss Sara, Miss Miranda, Miss Jeanette, and Miss Erin who loved Bill and Dottie so very much.

Bill is survived by his middle daughter Susan and husband Charlie Smith who have been Bill and Dottie’s caregivers for many years, daughter Erin Waller, son Blake Waller and wife Sara Waller. Erin’s sons Gunner, Gage, Gavin, and Blake’s sons Bryce, Jaxx and brother Jase. His eldest daughter Danna Klopfenstein, husband Roger, her son Robert O’Ferrall III, spouse Sarah Thomas, his daughters Addyson and Ainslee, and her daughter Stacy O’Ferrall. His youngest daughter, Beverly Lopez, husband Robert Lopez, her daughter Stephanie Golden and son and daughter Riot and Violette', and her sons Shaun Golden, Seth and Simon Lopez.
