Waltraud Haynes

Waltraud Haynes, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully at her home in Henryetta, Oklahoma on February 25, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was 84 years old. Waltraud was born on September 18, 1938, in Germany to parents Willheim and Anna Schulz. She graduated high school in Germany and would go on to meet her husband James Haynes Sr. who was stationed in Germany with the US military.


Waltraud and James traveled extensively during James' years in the military. They lived in many different places, including Germany several times, Oklahoma in 1973, Germany in 1976, Arizona in 1981, Korea in 1986, Texas in 1989, Louisiana in 1997, and finally moved back to Oklahoma in 2013 where she resided in Henryetta until her passing.


Waltraud loved to play bingo and would often go with her friends to play at the NCO Bingo Clubs. She also enjoyed dancing.


Waltraud is preceded in death by husband James Haynes Sr. and daughter Jannet Haynes Minifield. Those left to cherish her memory include son James Haynes of the home, Willheim Schulz Jr, Michael Menner, and Daniel Menner.


A celebration of life will be held at Schaudt Funeral Service in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, on March 3, 2023, at 4:30 pm with Pastor Wayne Harjo officiating.
