Virginia Eileen Burnap

March 8, 1944 — October 8, 2021

Virginia Eileen Burnap of Glenpool, OK, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, after her battle with pneumonia.

Virginia was born on March 8, 1944, to Edith (Truesdell) Burnap and Wesley Burnap in Waltham, MA. She was truly a daddy's girl. The family moved to California when Virginia was in high school. She graduated from Arcadia High School in Arcadia, CA. Upon graduation she started a lifelong career in banking with the Bank of America. Virginia was a very dedicated employee who held various positions throughout her employment as a teller, vault teller, ordering money, and staying late on Fridays to help count the money that had been taken in during the week. She always took the bus, but on the evenings that she worked late, her boss would take her home to see that she made it home safely. Although she never purchased a home of her own, she and her Irish twin sister, Judith have spent the last several years together as roommates. They have depended upon each other. Judith helped care for Virginia, and she in turn was there for her with companionship after Judith's husband passed away. They enjoyed playing card games together, attending functions at the Glenpool Senior Center until the pandemic started, and attended One Church on occasions more recently. Virginia was an avid game show enthusiast, collecting, decorating her home, and wearing items with elephants on them was something she loved, sitting outside watching her niece's goats, especially, the one who was named after her, and brought her a lot of joy. She enjoyed loving on her first dog Chico, a little Chihuahua. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Edith and Wesley Burnap, and brother-in-law, Roger Wilson.

She is survived by her sister, Judith Wilson, niece, Betty Lawson, nephews, Shawn Wilson and wife Tina, Scott Wilson and wife, Sharon, along with many great nieces and nephews.
