Vincent Eric Martinez

Vincent Eric Martinez passed away peacefully on May 22, 2019, into the hands of God at the Porta Caeli Hospice House. He was born on June 5th, 1959 in Downey, CA to Edward W. Martinez and Alice Amador. He married Ramona Gonzales on Valentine’s Day in 1991 in Farmington, NM, and together they raised eight children. He worked as a derrick hand in the oil fields of NM and was a Master level machinist for many, many years. He enjoyed being outside and loved fishing, camping, gardening, and watching movies and loved working on cars. He loved animals and owned cats, dogs, and chickens, but his favorite was his cat named Tombo and his Shih Tzu named Chica whom he loved. He treasured spending the holidays, especially Easter, with his family. He was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, and grandparent.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward W. Martinez, his mother and stepfather Frank and Alice Young, his siblings: Joseph, Larry, and Helen Martinez-Casias; And his grandson Edward Martinez. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife Ramona Martinez; his sibling's (Big Ed) Edward, David, Luther, Linda, Edward, Saul, Alicia, Eli, and Timothy; His children Erica (Michael), Anita, Elena (Ruben), Reyna (David II), Vincent Jr (Kandi), Kimberly, Monica (Sean), and Moses; His grandchildren Marcus, Malcolm Jr, Gloria, Meric, Isaiah, Danielle (Gage), Gabriella, Isabella, Abigail, Lilliana, Ruben, Carlos, Olivia, Raeliegh, Annabelle, Vincent III, Nathaniel, David III, Scarlett, Jerica, Felix, Grayson, Alysa, Rueben, Tyman, Serena and great-grandchild Annalicia. He had a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He loved his family more than anything in this world. Vincent was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, 2019, from 9 am to 4 pm at Schaudt’s Tulsa Funeral Service. A Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 30th, 2019 at 1 pm at Schaudt’s Tulsa Funeral Service with interment in Owalla Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the memory of Vincent Martinez to Porta Caeli Hospice House in Tulsa, OK.
