Susan "Sunshine" Fagan McMahan

Susan "Sunshine" Fagan McMahan, 67, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 18, 2017. She was born on May 24, 1950 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Robert E. and Geraldine (Collier) Fagan. She was raised all over the United States, as her father served in the United States Military, but remembers Virginia most fondly.

With her natural gift for voice impersonations, Susan, also known as “Sunshine”, was a fixture on top 40 radio advertisements in Tulsa’s early 70's. Those who knew her will miss her charismatic and outgoing personality, passion for life and ability to tell entertaining stories.

Susan's faith was of the utmost importance. She established membership at Tulsa’s First Presbyterian Church in the early 70's. She was a devout Christian and woman of God who meditated in prayer for her loved ones.

On December 16, 1978, she wed the love of her life, John A. McMahan, at Sharp Chapel on the University of Tulsa campus. She was a loving and dedicated mother to their two daughters, Lillie and Johnna. She had a great love for animals that has been passed down to her children. She enjoyed the holidays with family and was a devoted spouse, parent and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine (Collier) and Robert E. Fagan; brother, Robert M. Fagan; grandmother, Louise McKee; and grandfather Calvin McKee.

Survivors include her husband, John A. McMahan of Tulsa; two daughters, Lillie McMahan Ritter and husband, Bradley of Dallas, TX, Johnna McMahan Maestas and husband, Brad of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Jackson Ritter and John Maestas; brother, Rayburn Hitchcock of St. Paul, MN; and many friends. She will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017, 2:30pm at First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa.
