Sterling Herring

Sterling Arthur Herring age 93 passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in Beggs, Oklahoma. Sterling was born August 15, 1919 in Success, Missouri to Homer Herring and Geneta Muriel (Neal) Herring. He graduated from Mounds High School. He married Edna Cumbey on December 14, 1938 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Sterling worked as a carpenter in the construction industry. He enjoyed fishing and farming. He was preceded in death by his parents: Homer and Geneta Herring, his brother Carl Herring and his loving wife, Edna (Cumby) Herring (February 3, 2007). Sterling is survived by his son Arthur "Neal" Herring and his wife Glenda Jo from Mounds, his daughter Mary Cornu of Leesburg, Florida, his grandsons: Donnie Herring and his wife April of Beggs, Steve Herring and his wife Amy of Broken Arrow, Rusty Herring of Jenks, Jean-Claude Cornu and his wife Kim of Dallas, Texas along with his loving great grandchildren, other family members and friends. Services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel. Reverend Dick Knox will officiate. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C.
