Stephany Dianne Volkl

Stephany Dianne Volkl, age 51, passed away on August 5, 2017 in Cushing, OK. Stephany was born June 30th, 1966 in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Steve and the late Joyce Byrd.

Stephany grew up in Berryhill, OK. She was very athletic and loved and played all sports. She played in the band, was very bright, and was her school's valedictorian. She went to college for a short time in Kansas at Baker University where she studied pre-med, passing the MCAT and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and then moved back to Tulsa.

Stephany (Steph) loved going to the lake, boating, car races, watching her children play sports, cooking, and being with family and friends. She was a member of River Oaks Christian Church. Anyone that met Steph loved her. She was always happy, positive, and always had a smile on her face. She always had time for you and could cheer anyone up.

Family was Stephany's passion and delight. Stephany married the love of her life, Donnie Volkl, in 1995. They raised three wonderful children, Tyler (26), Tayler (18), and Teagan (16) who were the joys of her life.

Stephany is survived by her sister Lori Lopez and her two children, Abby and Ally from Moore, OK; brother Aaron Byrd and his wife Tosha and their daughter, Piper of El Reno, OK; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Pat Volkl of Tulsa, OK; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dave and Kim Owens and their children Kennedy, Ike, and Madison of Jenks, OK. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

Stephany will be greatly missed by all. She brought joy to everyone she touched.
