Rosita Chandler

Rosita Chandler of Kiefer, Oklahoma, passed away on August 7, 2017, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 82.

Rosita was born on June 4, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Leandro Ledesma and Ruth (McFadden) Skiver. She was a graduate of Central High School in Columbus, Ohio. Later in life, she attended Marion Technical College and graduated with an associate's degree in accounting. Rosita married Jack Chandler in Columbus, Ohio, on December 3, 1966. Together they made many happy memories with their five children. She loved to cook. The family’s favorite meal was homemade pinto beans, tortillas and pepper steak. She loved being with family and she was her children’s biggest cheerleader.

Rosita is preceded in death by her father Leandro Ledesma, mother Ruth Skiver, step-father Howard Skiver, brothers Lloyd and Macedonia (Buddy), and sisters Hilda, Peggy, Refugia (Ruthie), Frances (Frannie), and Leandra (Butchie).

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack Chandler, children; Liza (Paul) Mason, Gregory (Anja) Power, Regina (Robert) Gliem, Rita (Phil) Robinson, Rosita (Richard) Johnson; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, sisters Delores (Jeannie) and Leonora, and a host of other family and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday from 5-8 P.M. on August 11, 2017, at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel, 719 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma 74033.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. on August 12, 2017 at Aspen Baptist Church, 4400 S. Aspen Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74011.
